I recently went on a hike with some of the students from English class. They are such a joy to be around, whether our day starts at 1 pm or 6 am. While on the hike, we stopped in a few spots where I took some of their pictures, which was super fun. I even got to take some of my team.

(I literally took these pictures hoping AIM will use it somehow. I tell my team to pose randomly and they love me so well and do it lol.)

While I was out hiking on me, I realized that I expected that being in this part of the world would be different. That sharing God’s love with people would look different, but it hasn’t. So we stopped and had food together. Then sat and sang some fun worship songs. We joked around like any other great group of friends.

(They made some excellent food for us and brought it on the hike. It was so kind that I couldn't help but take a picture. I hope you enjoy an odd angle of our food.)

We then followed them back down the mountain, laughing all the way. It hasn’t looked or felt different, except that I took every opportunity to hang out with them. There are many times I didn’t hang out with my friends back at home because I didn’t feel it. Yet, I have seen the laughter and joy that come forth. Plus, I got to share The Father’s Love with them.

(Sometimes amazing pictures just come out and this was one of those times. I didn't plan it, nor did I set it up, just happen to have my camera out as we were walking down.)

Loving people here and showing them that The Heavenly Father loves them has not looked different at all. It has just been doing life with them and caring for them as Jesus cares for them. It hasn’t been complicated here, yet I have made it complicated back at home.

Love people well by just doing life with them!
