“For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away.”

Matthew 25:14-15

God gives gifts and talents to everyone in some way, shape, or form. How we go about using that is up to us. I was given the awesome privilege of working as an AIM (Adventures in Missions) Storyteller. In my specific position, I get to be a photographer who shows God’s awesome work to others. I didn’t realize the ministry opportunity I had until I was placed in it.

I understand that I’m working with a ministry, I also understand that I have been doing ministry by capturing other moments. What I specifically realized was that I can bless an individual with the skills God blessed me with. In that, I got to share the gospel because I was taking pictures for a local artist.

I became friends with him prior to him asking me to take his pictures, but I really didn’t see my photography skills as a way to bless the locals till that moment. Enjoy these pictures of him and his artwork, you can also follow him on Instagram if you so desire. His name is Eddy (I was specifically given permission to use his name).

(These are a few of his pieces. They are amazing and I enjoyed taking the pictures)

(Eddy and his beautiful artwork, He loved getting his picture taken with his artwork.)

(All of us receiving an art lesson from Eddy! I was able to record it and thus was able to bless him. The team enjoyed his lesson.)

(Just a fun time taking pictures and capturing a beautiful moment)

(We worked on faces and getting the measurements right, then he showed us shading and why that was so important.)

All of this was possible because the coffee shop that we had been going to allowed us to borrow their space. We were able to bless them in their business, which tasted great. God really wants to use your talents, gifts, and abilities but you must allow Him to use them.

“But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master’s money.”

Mathew 25:18

Don’t be afraid to use your gifts!

Dad, thank you so much for graciously giving us these skills, talents, and abilities. It was and is an honor using them to bring you glory. May you allow everyone to know and understand what you have blessed them with. I hope they also take every opportunity to use them. Amen!
